Why “CHAOS” is Good

Posted · Add Comment

You know you’ve been in the right company for a sustained period of time when you’ve been stretched to the point where you’re a cocktail of frustration, irritation and annoyance.

It’s the “chaos” which preceeds a higher level of functioning in “open” systems such as the mind.  The universe expands in the same way, by first going into chaos before “re-reordering” as a more expansed version of itself.

The natural law we know to be the process of evolution.

A “closed” system, your circulation system or a road system for example, isn’t able to evolve.  It can’t “re-order” to higher functionality.  Closed systems are limited by capacity.  A road can only take so much traffic before it becomes grid locked, your veins and arteries can only take so much blood before haemorrhage.

Not so your mind.

You’d be well served to remind yourself of this when you’re next stretched into chaos.  It doesn’t make having your “eggs scrambled” any more comfortable, but it sure as hell helps to be consciously aware you’re in a natural process and becoming more as a consequence.

If you’re not being stretched into chaos on a regular and frequent basis, you’re in more trouble than you know.  There is no such thing as inertia in a universe continually in movement and expansion.  You can’t stand still or “tread water”.  You’re either growing and moving forwards, or you’re going backwards.

That’s another natural law exerting itself: the law of create or disintegrate.

Food for thought: when was the last time you were in an environment that stretched you to the point of psychological chaos?  How often do you put yourself in environments conducive to your greater unfoldment?

You see, those “things” you want to improve – your results – they’re specific effects of a certain cause…and if you’re not frequently putting yourself in an environment that stretches you on a regular basis…you’re living at the wrong end of the cause and effect equation.

As I say, food for thought…
